My mother is still independent but wants more security. Is a Résidence Autonomie the right choice?

If she’s still independent, a Résidence Autonomie could be a good option because she can have her own space while having more security around her. It’s quite different from a nursing home, where residents usually need more regular care.I’d visit a few and see what they’re actually like before deciding. I’d look at things like how much independence residents have, what services are included, what happens if her needs change later, and of course the overall cost. If she likes the idea of having people around without giving up too much independence, it could be worth considering.
