We budgeted for the obvious stuff like facility fees, medications but a few costs still caught us off guard along the way. Things like transportation to appointments, incontinence supplies, or extra fees for higher levels of care that weren't in the original quote.
What's a cost that surprised you during your own experience with senior care? Would love to hear what to actually prepare for.

Things like extra help with personal care, medication management, transportation, or specialized care can add up pretty quickly. I’d also make sure to ask whether there are any setup, assessment, or other additional fees before choosing a provider. The hourly or monthly rate doesn’t always tell you the full story.
